La Coleccion Schlumpf es aparentemente la mayor coleccion de automoviles del mundo, esta situada en Mulhouse, Francia y dispone de unos 600 ejemplares de los cuales mas de 105 son Bugattis. Leyendo Auto Motor und Sport durante un viaje de negocios, me entero que una seccion "olvidada" que ha permanecido encerrada en un deposito, sera exhibida en Kassel hasta el 31 de Julio. Asi que me las arreglo para ir hasta Kassel y ver esta muestra unica de "objetos de segunda mano". Hay que notar que el Mercedes W 154 atrajo una oferta de 17 millones de EUR que fue rechazada. Publicare poco a poco las fotos que he tomado y posteriormente visitare la coleccion principal "Cite de l'Automobile" en Mulhouse / The Schlumpf collection is apparently the world's largest automobile collection; it is based in Mulhouse, France y counts some 600 items of which more than 105 are Bugattis. Reading an issue of Auto Motor und Sport during a business trip, I learn that a "forgotten" part, locked for many years in a warehouse wil be displayed in Kassel until 31 July. So I make arrangements to drive to Kassel and see this unique display of "second-hand objects". It is noteworthy that the Mercedes W 154 attracted a 17 million EUR offer which was rejected. La Imme R100 se destaca por varios motivos; su constructor, Norbert Riedel habia ya fabricado motores de dos tiempos que se usaban como motores de arranque en las turbinas JUMO 004 que equipaban al Messerschmit 262. Durante las penurias de la postguerra Riedel concibio esta motocicleta revolucionaria que sirvio de inspiracion por mucho tiempo despues / The Imme R100 is remarkable for various reasons; its designer, Norbert Riedel had already produced two-stroke engines used as starter motors for the JUMO 004 turbojets which equipped the Messerschmit 262. During the difficult period of the immediate post-war, Riedel conceived this rather revolutionary motorcycke which served as inspiration for many years afterwards
